Jerry Williams

Jerry was a very nice man, and I am glad I got to know him. He and his wife Donnie were always gracious and welcoming hosts when we visited their ranch.

Jerry Williams of Buda went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2009. He was born on September 14, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He married Donnie, his high school sweetheart and love of his life on August 1, 1958, in Oklahoma City. He started his career in the plumbing supply business and owned and operated Williams Specialties in Austin for 25 years. He was an avid OU fan, BOOMER SOONER! He and Donnie raised and enjoyed longhorn cattle for 29 years. He was the first president of ITLA. His other interests were real estate, woodworking, traveling, and family. Remembering his wit and laughter he leaves behind, his wife, Donnie of 50 years; his sister, Norma of Sioux City, Iowa; his children, Sandy Miller, Mark and Phil Williams; his grandchildren, Christi, Brad, Michael, Christopher, Jennifer, Leah and Lilly; as well as extended family and many wonderful friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 10th, at Harrell Funeral Home on South Lamar and Ben White, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Texas. Pastor Steven Fick officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Redeeming Grace Lutheran Church Fund, PO Box 2254, Manchaca, TX 78652.
